Samantha Davidson, CFA®Managing Director, Chief Strategy Officer
Samantha is chief strategy officer of Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management. She focuses on driving growth by bringing together client, investment, and service opportunities from across United Capital, Ayco and Private Wealth Management (PWM). Samantha is a member of the PWM Women's Council.
Previously, she was head of Digital Advice Solutions where she led digital strategy, design and development for the Consumer and Investment Management Division. Prior to her transition to Wealth Management, Samantha was a portfolio manager in Goldman Sachs Asset Management, advising on portfolios for institutional clients. She led the private real estate primaries, secondaries and co-investments team within Alternative Investment and Manager Selection (AIMS).Samantha was a senior member of Global Portfolio Solutions, where she led client relationships and developed multi-asset class solutions. Earlier, she worked across asset classes within AIMS identifying investment opportunities in equity, hedge fund and private equity strategies. Samantha first joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division in 1997 and rejoined the firm in 2006. She was named managing director in 2010.
Prior to rejoining the firm, Samantha held roles in business development, corporate strategy and venture capital at Guidant Corporation, a global cardiovascular medical device company.
Samantha serves as a partner for Women in Need, a nonprofit that provides housing, critical services and other programs to help homeless women and their children.
Samantha earned a BS in Biology and Neuroscience from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a CFA charterholder.
