Melissa Leggett, CFA®Senior Wealth Manager, Bethesda Metro Center
Melissa, Bethesda Metro Center, helps manage fixed income portfolios for United Capital clients. She began her career in 1999 at Bear, Stearns in New York City, working in both public finance investment banking and in municipal bond underwriting. She has been responsible for both the structuring and the pricing and marketing of negotiated and competitive municipal bond issues. She also worked on its short-term municipal bond underwriting desk helping with the pricing and remarketing of variable rate demand bonds and auction rate securities. In 2010, she joined Fannie Mae’s economics department where she worked on the company’s strategic positioning after the 2007 financial crisis and Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Melissa received her BA in economics from Princeton University and MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden Business School.
Melissa is married with three daughters.
