Vice President, Wealth Advisor, BethesdaCharles York, Bethesda, is a Vice President and Wealth Advisor in the Bethesda, MD office of Goldman Sachs PFM. In this role he works directly to address the wealth planning and investment needs of individuals and multi-generational families, as well as non-profit institutions.
Charlie has more than 25 years of experience in investment management and research. Charlie joined the firm from BNY Mellon where he managed client relationships and worked as a senior wealth manager, served on the firm’s Investment Strategy Committee and also led the Greater Washington, DC team. Previously, Charlie worked in senior portfolio management, investment research and team leadership roles at several leading financial institutions in Washington, DC and Boston, MA. He started his career as a naval aviator with the U.S. Navy. Charlie is an adjunct professor of Finance at the School of Business at George Mason University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Easterseals DC MD VA, a community-based non-profit organization.
Charlie earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Cornell University. He is a CFA charterholder and a CFP® professional.
