Duane Wimer, CPA
Vice President, Wealth Advisor, IndianapolisDuane Wimer, Indianapolis, is responsible for developing an investment strategy tailored to each client’s needs by delivering customized wealth management advice and personalized service at the Indianapolis office of Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management, within the Asset & Wealth Management business of Goldman Sachs.
He has 30-plus years of professional experience, having begun his career in 1984 as a Staff Accountant and progressed to Principal for an Indianapolis-based Certified Public Accounting firm. Early in his career, Duane left public accounting to provide leadership for the Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity, headquartered in Indianapolis, where he became the organization’s Executive Director. In 2002, he joined what is now Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management.
Duane graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Duane is also a member of the Indiana CPA Society and serves on the board for FRMT, Ltd., a reinsurance company owned by 30-plus national college fraternities.
He makes his home in Carmel, Indiana, with his wife Maria and children, Erica, Michael and Nicole. In his free time, Duane enjoys all sports, especially fishing, and spending time with family.
