Michael H. Smith, Deerfield, primarily focuses on helping clients with their retirement planning at the North Shore office of Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management, within the Consumer and Wealth Management Division of Goldman Sachs. He prides himself on building meaningful, trusting client relationships.

Michael brings a wealth of experience and exactitude to bear on client relationships, having helped clients plan their financial futures since 2001. During his career, Michael has been fortunate to gain professional experience from three different employer perspectives: a large global money manager, a private bank and a boutique financial planning firm. Through working at these distinctive financial institutions, he was able to hone his client servicing and financial planning skills.

Michael has earned both a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning (MSFP) degree and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. Michael holds a Master of Business Administration, Finance concentration from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
