Jonathan "Jon" Blumenthal, CFP®HEAD OF MORRISTOWN
A love for history sparked Jonathan "Jon" Blumenthal's lifelong interest in historic financial and economic cycles, which turned this one-time world traveler into the Financial Adviser and Professional Mentor/Trainer he is today. Jon maintains various securities registrations, including a Series 7 for securities brokerage and a Series 66. Jon is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. He guides management-level financial portfolios for executives at ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell and a list of telecommunications companies, including Qwest, Verizon and AT&T.
As the leader of one of the fastest growing practices, Jon has accumulated a wealth of awards during his United Capital tenure, routinely finishing as the company’s top ranked Adviser; however, his favorite award was the team award, the 2013 United Capital Managing Directors of the Year, which he was able to share with his partners. Jon leads an office that manages $1.2 billion in client assets and is routinely studied by other offices seeking to understand the elevated level of service and stewardship that Jon’s office provides for clients as they approach their retirement years.
His specialty: helping people at all income levels in large corporations plan financial transitions and ultimately retire with comfort and confidence. As Managing Director, Jon mentors incoming Advisers, and he helps guide company development of long-term investment models used throughout the firm. “We’re never satisfied,” he says. “We’re always studying, analyzing, searching for the best, risk-adjusted rate of return for clients.”
Jon studied history at Israel’s University of Haifa. From there, he traveled most of the world. When the time is right, he plans to finish the job and complete the world tour. Jon works with clients out of the Colorado and Texas offices.
Jon and his wife, Eve, have 3 children, Paul, Zoe and Mason. He enjoys playing golf, traveling, watching sports and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
