Tim Long, CFP®


Tim Long began his career in financial services in 2001 assisting clients as a Financial Adviser with an international firm. As a Wealth Manager in United Capital’s Little Rock regional office, Tim uses his years of experience to take a holistic approach to advising individuals and families in all facets of personal financial planning, including investment management, asset allocation, risk management, tax planning and estate planning consulting. His goal is to help his clients improve their overall quality of life by freeing them to focus on the things in life they enjoy and to spend less time worrying about their money. As an additional role, Tim provides employee education and counseling to employer retirement plan participants.

Prior to his financial services career, Tim served as a Logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps in the United States and Okinawa, Japan. Tim holds a B.A. cum laude in English Literature from the University of Notre Dame. He holds the CFP® certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor professional designation from the College for Financial Planning. Tim is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and has served on the board of the Arkansas chapter of the FPA. He also serves on various boards within his local community. Outside the office, he is an avid distance cyclist and has completed many century (100-mile) and metric century (62-mile) events. Tim lives in Maumelle with his wife, Jenny, and their dogs.
