Before merging his firm with United Capital, Wes was a founding partner of Peachtree Investment Advisors, where his responsibilities included serving the needs of clients and developing strategic relationships for the firm.

Wes French has over 35 years of experience in financial services, he provides clients deep expertise in all areas of wealth management, including investment strategy, retirement planning, banking and insurance advice, and tax saving wealth transfer strategies.

Wes formerly served as a partner and Executive Vice President of an Atlanta-based investment advisory firm, which merged into a national trust company. Prior to that, he spent 13 years with First Union Corporation serving in a number of management roles, among them as Southeastern Regional Managing Director of Private Banking.

Wes continues to be actively involved in the community. He is a member of the Board of Councilors of The Carter Center and the Board of Directors of the Mountain Conservation Trust of Georgia. He serves on the Investment Committees for both the Atlanta History Center and Agnes Scott College, where he was previously a Board Trustee. He also recently served on the Boards of the Capital City Club and the Georgia United Methodist Foundation, was Chairman of the Board of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and a past President of the Buckhead Lions Club.

Wes graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Davidson College. He and his wife, Anne, have three grown children and reside in Buckhead.
